Georges Pond

We have had the camp since 1992 after having rented on Georges Pond for 5 years previous. When we bought it,
it was pretty rustic - no shower or toilet (see old outhouse with new one 2011 in pic below). The three women of the
family rectified that in short order and by the summer of 1993 we had a nice new small bathroom and septic system.
The camp was situated on the actual shore with one of the supporting posts actually in the water. But over the years,
after continuous leveling, we were advised to stabilize by putting in a foundation (DEP approved, btw) and pulling
the camp 9 feet from the shoreline but losing the twin birches and fir tree by the corner. Definitely some benefits like
a cellar and a counter where eggs didn't roll off. Over the years we've built two floats (the latest in 2010) and two docks
with a new dock coming in 2015. Much more history and pics (moving the camp was very interesting) but we'll tell
and show you in person when you visit!
